Last chance to get 5 per cent incentive on property tax - Coimbatore Municipal Corporation Commissioner

Coimbatore: Municipal Corporation Commissioner M Prathap has declared that the public will have one last chance to receive a 5% incentive if they pay their property taxes on April 29 and 30.

For property owners who pay property tax to Coimbatore Corporation by 30.04.2023 for the first half year of the current fiscal year 2023-24, all tax collection centres of the Corporation will function from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays on 29.04.2023 and 30.04.2023 as a last resort to receive a 5% incentive on their property tax amount.

Moreover, in areas falling under the Eastern Zone, on Saturdays and Sundays, ward numbers 22, 24 will be attended by Codissia - Tamil Nadu Electricity Board office areas. A special tax collection camp will be held in the Nehru Nagar area for ward numbers 07, 08 and 23 and in ondipudur weavers colony for ward numbers 56, 57 and 58.

A special tax collecting camp will be organised at SIHS Colony School for wards 54, 55, and 59, and at Udayampalayam School for wards 50, 51, 52, and 53.

On Saturday, 29.04.2023 in the areas falling under the Western Zone, ward no. 17 in the rear side of Kavundampalayam Thendral Nagar ITI, A special tax collection camp will be held in Ward No.34 at Kavundampalayam- Poompuhar Nagar Mani Mahal and ward no.37 at Vadavalli Kalveerampalayam Makaliamman Koil Street.

A special tax collection camp will be held in the premises of the Sundapalayam Perumal Temple in Ward No. 39 and the Veerakeralam Siddhi Vinayagar Temple in Ward No. 40. Ward No. 38 is located in the Vadavalli Balaji Nagar Bhuvaneswari Amman temple complex.

On 30.04.2023, Kavundampalayam thendral nagar in the back side of ITI and near Kavundampalayam Peons Colony Mariamman Temple for ward 33, for ward 34, a special tax collection camp will be held in Kavundampalayam-Poompuhar Nagar Mani Mahal area and in ward number 36 at New Thillai Nagar Residents Welfare Association 5th Street.

Ward 38 in Vadavalli Vinayagar Temple Complex - IOP Colony and in Ward 39 in Sundapalayam Perumal Temple Complex. A special tax collection camp will be held in ward no.40 near Vadavalli VNR Nagar ration shop and in ward 73 at ponnaiya rajapuram health inspector's office.

A special tax collection camp will be held on Saturdays and Sundays in the south zone, in front of Kuniyamuthur Corporation Primary School - Aisha Mahal in ward 87, and at sundakkamuthur-health inspector's office in ward 89 and coimbatore-siruvani nagar area in ward 90.

Ward No. 94 will be held on the premises of the Machampalayam - Mariamman Temple, Ward No. 97 will be held in the Phase 2 housing unit area, and Ward No. 100 will be held in the Srinivasapuram Park area.

On Saturdays and Sundays in the areas falling under the North Zone, in ward no. 28, the Corporation will be at the North Zone Tax Collection Centre, The tax will be collected at Sanganur-Rayappa Tank Tax Collection Centre for Ward Nos. 29 and 30 and at Sathy Road - MSR Tank Tax Collection Centre for Ward Nos. 20 and 21.

Ward Nos. 4, 10, 11 at saravanampatti divisional office tax collection centre, The tax will be collected at the tax collection centre of the Chinnavedampatti divisional office for ward nos. 3 and 12, ward nos. 2, 13 and 14 at the tax collection centre of the Vellakinar pirivu office and the tax collection centre of the thudiyalur pirivu office for ward nos. 1 and 15.

Ward 18 at Ramasamy Nagar - Kavundampalayam Tax Collection Centre, and Wards 26 and 27 at Peelamedu-Payaniyar Mill Road Tax Collection Centre. It will be held at the Aavarampalayam-Kamadhenu Nagar Health Inspector's office for Ward 28, the Amma Canteen for Ward 19, and Gandhimanagar-Corporation School for Ward 25.

On Saturday, 29.04.2023 in the areas falling under central zone, children's park in ward no.32, Sanganur Narayanasamy Street, Ward No 62 Corporation Primary School Saramedu, Ward No.63 Olympus - Corporation Shopping Complex on 80 Feet Road, In ward no. 49, it will be held at Pappanaickenpalayam-Corporation Middle School and ward no.83 at Thotrayan Koil Road-Corporation Shopping Complex.

"You can take advantage of this opportunity and get a 5 per cent incentive by paying property tax," the statement said.
